Child Enrichment Program

 

LifeLine's Child Enrichment Program helps children develop positive self-esteem, effective social and conflict resolution skills and strategies for making responsible, wise choices. Classes are taught by LifeLine staff counselors who are trained, licensed professionals with advanced degrees. All counselors have a minimum of thirteen years clinical experience which includes extensive training in child development and pediatric mental health.

 

Seminars and classes are offered at sponsoring organization sites or at LifeLine Counseling Center. Parents interested in enrolling their child in a class or who wish to attend a parenting class can contact us for a schedule and information. Features of the program include:

 

 

Counseling for Children dealing with trauma, loss, divorce, behavioral and academic issues.

 

Kids Art and Soul--Art classes designed to help children express themselves and grow creatively, develop divergent thinking skills, foster positive self-esteem and promote self-discovery and personal growth.

 

The Friendship Club--A four week group focusing on social and conflict resolution skills, anger management, and making responsible, wise choices.

 

I Am Beautiful!--An interactive seiminar for adolescent girls where real beauty is defined in terms of interal qualities rather than external appearance. Stategies are addressed for dealing withe unrealistic medical and societal expectations.

 

Stepping Stones--Divorce recovery classes for children dealing with the loss, transitions, and emtions associated with separation and divorce.

 

Getting Kids Ready for the Real World--A series of parenting classes for parents wanting to help children make good choices, improve self-esteem, understand appropriate boundaries and learn respectful and responsible behavior.
